3 Operation

3.1 Switching on the thermome-
ter
To switch the thermometer on, press the
"ON/OFF" button for at least one sec-
ond.
The device will perform a system test
during which all segments are visible in
the display.
After this the measuring channel is
tested. The display shows "38.8".
Afterwards the first measured value will
appear in °C.
If an error message is displayed, refer to
chapter 4 "Troubleshooting" on page 10.

3.2 Temperature measuring

For conserving battery power, the ther-
mometer will switch off automatically af-
ter 2 hours of operation.
