The firebox main power "on/off" switch (see Fig. 4) must be switched "on" before any of the control
functions, (on the firebox and/or remote control) will operate.

to use your firebox for extended time periods or going away on vacation, we recommend the main power
"on/off" be switched off.
This firebox insert features conveniently separate controls for the flame effect and heat control.
This feature allows you to operate the unit in 2 different ways;
• As a full featured fireplace insert with both flame effect and heater operating simultaneously.
• As a visual effect with flame effect only. (i.e. no heating cycle)
This firebox insert is not designed to operate in "heat" only mode without a flame effect.

Using the remote control (fig.3):
1. Main Power Button:
on the firebox, the flame effect (only) will turn on.
To turn the firebox "off" press the "main power
button" again.
2. Flame Effect:
Press the flame button to achieve the
desired effect. You can go up 4 steps after flame
shuts off (no heat)
3. Heat:
"Press the heat button once for "ultra-high"
heat setting; twice for "high" heat setting; three
times for "medium" heat setting and a fourth time
for "low" setting"
(NOTE:
on when the heat cycle is operational) Pressing
the button a "fifth" time turns the heater off.
4. Down Light Button:
