How to use your Longines
Power-Reserve watch
This watch is a precise and reliable timepiece intended for daily use; it
is water-resistant and has a sapphire crystal. It is fitted with a self-wind-
ing Longines L602 movement.
It has been designed to indicate hours, minutes, seconds and the date,
as well as having a power-reserve indicator.
Functions of the 3 positions of the crown
1. Pushed in
Winding: The natural movement of your wrist will automatically wind
your Longines watch, which has a power-reserve of 42 hours. It is only
necessary to wind the watch manually if it has not been worn for sever-
al days. The power-reserve indicator will adjust itself automatically when
your watch is wound manually or automatically.
2. Intermediate position
Quick date reset: To adjust the date turn the crown in either direction
until the desired date appears, then push it right in. It is necessary to
adjust the date manually at the end of each month that has fewer than
31 days.

Please Note: To avoid damaging the mechanism do not reset the date
between 20.00 hours and 01.00 hours.
3. Pulled out
Adjusting the time and stop seconds: Pull the crown right out; this
will stop the seconds hand. To adjust the time turn the crown in either
direction until the time indicated is synchronized with an official time sig-
nal (speaking clock, radio, TV).
Important: Should your watch need repair, it should be sent to a
Longines agent only.
Precautions concerning the water-resistant seal
Your Longines watch is water-resistant but the seal may be damaged
without your realising it if the watch is subjected to a shock. The water-
resistant seal should be checked each time the watch undergoes its
regular service.
