FAQS. Trouble shooting thermostatic mixers
1. The flow has decreased
POSSIBLE REASONS
1. Filters are clogged
a. By particles: Close shut-off cock, remove the tap from the wall and clean the filters.
We recommend installing particle filters at the entrance to the installation and re-
purging pipes.
b. By embedded scale: Close shut-off cock, remove the tap from the wall and clean the
filters. Immerse in water with vinegar (5%) for 24 h and clean. If it persists, replace by
official spare part. Never remove the filters because it could damage the faucet and
make it unusable.
2. Cartridge filters are clogged.
a. Following disassembly and cleaning guidelines.
b. Follow the temperature adjustment guidelines. Do not remove filters from the
cartridge. Be careful: before operate, cut the water supply.
3. Hand or head shower are clogged. Try to clean with water or replace.
4. Check the water supply pressure. It could have changed the supply pressure so you
should notice a lower flow rate in other taps of the home.
5. Other reasons are less frequent and will require the intervention of qualified technical
personnel such as that the check valves have been blocked and must be replaced.
2. At the 38 ° C position the water burns or the water comes out very cold
A thermostat does not heat the water. It is a mixing element and before acting on the
faucet, you must ensure the proper functioning of your hot water installation. Hot water
must enter in left side.
• Try adjusting the water according to the procedure marked in these temperature
adjustment instructions.
- If you cannot adjust the temperature, follow the filter or cartridge cleaning
instructions (with post temperature adjustment) specified in section 1.
