Lite the Nite
WARNING: RISK OF FIRE OR ELECTRICAL SHOCK
• Power unit is for indoor/outdoor use.
• Install the power unit 5 feet (1.5 m) or more from a pool, spa, or
fountain. If installed indoors within 10 feet (3.0m) of a pool, spa,
or fountain, connect power unit to a receptacle protected by a
GFCI.
• If outdoors, install only to a covered Class A GFCI protected
receptacle. If one is not provided, contact a qualified electrician
for proper installation.
• If outdoors, use a hooded flush type cover plate receptacle
marked: Wet Location While in Use. Ensure that the power cord
does not interfere with completely closing the receptacle cover.
Cover must be weatherproof with the power cord connected to
the receptacle.
• Do not use on a dimmer circuit.
• Do not use with an extension cord.
• Only use a proper three-pronged GFCI outlet.
• Do not cut or modify the AC power cord.
• Suitable for use with Submersible Luminaires or Submersible
Pumps.
• Do not connect two or more power supplies in parallel.
• This device is accepted as a component of landscape lighting
systems where the suitability of the combination shall be deter-
mined by NEC or local inspection authorities having jurisdiction.
• Risk of fire. Do not place wire insulation in the terminal block.
Check the connection after installation.
• Minimal servicing required. Lugs only needing to be tightened
occasionally. Check torque of terminals occasionally

Installation Instructions
1) Loading
• Calculate total load by adding all fixture wattage then add 10% to
prevent overload.
• Total calculation should never exceed 150 watts per zone.

NITE DRIVER
2) Mounting
• Nite Driver should be mounted 1
foot or higher above ground level.
• Find the best location that keeps
wire runs as short as possible.
• Recommended to be plugged into
a ground fault receptacle.
• Keyhole slots are 3 7/8" on center.
3) Wiring
• Connect wire runs to terminal block
before plugging in AC cord.
• LTN1300, DO NOT connect load
wires across two zones. Only connect to the + or - terminal of the same
zone.
• Nite Driver requires AC plug connected for 12 hours to fully charge
power failure back-up.
• No user serviceable parts inside, do not remove cover and expose
high voltages.
4) Using the Photo Eye
The Photo Eye is used if one or both zones are using any of the following
modes: AUTO, DUSK ON TIME OFF, 4, 6, 8, or 10. Mode descriptions in
Section 3.
NOTE: With these modes, lights turn ON when the Photo Eye detects the light level to be
less than 12.5 foot-candles (135lux) for over one minute. In AUTO mode lights turn OFF when
the Photo Eye detects light level to be greater than 12.5 foot-candles (135lux) for over one
minute.
• Internal Photo Eye
The Photo Eye is located on the left side of the control panel. Move
rubber cover to expose the Photo Eye for use.
• External Photo Eye
Move rubber cover over the Photo Eye located on the left side of the
control panel. Plug the external Photo Eye into the two-pin connector
port on the base of the Nite Driver. Hand twist the locking collar clock-
wise to secure the connection. Make sure it is flush and tightly sealed.
Use provided mounting clip to aim Photo Eye to desired position with
135
unobstructed access to daylight.
