GENERAL DESCRIPTION

The MITO photoelectric barrier has been projected for
applications in which it is necessary to apply two
overlapping photocells, without colliding each other.
To get such result the photocells must be powered with
12/24V~ then the power supplies must be crossed
Example: When the TX and the RX of a photocell are
powered with a black cable on 0V~ and with a red cable on
24V~, so the TX and the RX of the other photocell must
have the red cable on 0V~ and the black cable on 24V~
MITO photocells are provided with EMI screen which allows working
INSTALLATION
TRANSMITTER PHOTOCELL INSTALLATION
- Insert the cables in the special seat and make the connections
according to the type of application (12V or 24V~ or V
choosing whether synchronized or not synchronized photocell
- Adjust the cables in order to eliminate any excess
- Fix the Transmitter photocell
- Seal the protective gasket and any holes which may convey
foreign bodies into the container
RECEIVER PHOTOCELL INSTALLATION
- Insert the cables in the special seat and make the connections
according to the type of application (12V or 24V~ or V
choosing whether synchronized or not synchronized photocell
- Adjust the cables in order to eliminate any excess
- Fix the Receiver photocell, taking care to position it frontally and
perfectly aligned on the same axis, at the same height as the
associated Transmitter photocell
- Seal the protective gasket and any holes which may convey
foreign bodies into the container
NOTE: To have the synchronization function, the

PHOTOCELL INITIALIZATION
Once the TX and RX photocells have been correctly fixed, power
them (12V or 24V ~ or V
If the photocell is correctly positioned and connected, the RED
LED on the RX photocell will be ON
RED LED ON = CORRECTLY ALIGNED DEVICE
RED LED OFF = NOT ALIGNED DEVICE OR INTERRUPTED BEAM
VERIFICATION OPERATIONS
Interrupt the infrared ray several times with a black cardboard
(anyway opaque to infrared) checking that:
- there is the response (exchange) of the Relay
- every time the beam is interrupted, the Red LED on the receiver
goes OFF
