General instructions for use
The Aquarius pro life® filter system may only be operated with a cold water connection between 5°C
and 30°C.
Our filter system may only be installed and operated on the drinking water line of the municipal
waterworks (no private wells!). Private wells can contain extreme contamination and many suspended
particles, which can overload the filter or quickly clog it.
For certain groups of people, such as immunocompromised people and babies, it is generally
recommended to boil tap water. An official request to boil tap water must be followed. Our filter
system must taken out of order during this time. After the end of the boil-off request, the entire filter
system including the hoses must be sterilised and the cartridge replaced. Please contact our support
for this!
In addition, tap water may not be suitable for babies up to around 6 months of age due to its nitrate
content. These instructions also apply to filtered water. Ask your water supplier for more information.
Likewise, our filter system may only be operated at normal domestic water pressure of 3 - 5 bar. A
connection to a low-pressure pipe or a pressureless boiler is not supported.
We have different connections in our country - can the filter still be connected?
Yes! In most hardware stores there are e.g. adapters from 3/8 "to 1/2". With these, our water filter can
also be connected in your country. If in doubt, consult a professional.
After hard knocks or blows (e.g. by unsuitable tools or falling on stone floors) the filter head should
be checked for damage and replaced if necessary. Extreme shocks can also damage the inside of the
cartridge!
The storage and installation location of filter systems and filter cartridges must be frost-proof, dry
and free from disturbing influences (e.g. solvent vapours, heating oil, washing lyes, chemicals of all
kinds, UV radiation and heat sources above 40°C). Filter cartridges should not be stored in the car or in
damp areas, for example under the sink. If a filter cartridge has been stored or transported below 0°C,
it must be defrosted at temperatures between 5°C and 30°C at least 24 hours before use. Plastic parts
must be kept free of oil and grease, solvents and acidic and basic cleaning agents.
The filter system must not be opened or dismantled during operation.
Operation outside of these parameters may damage the filter. Proper handling of our filter system
is a prerequisite for proper function. The manufacturer is not liable for damages and consequential
damages resulting from improper installation or modification!
Used filter cartridges are disposed of in household waste according to local regulations.
