7 Installing New Power Module
If the pattern of thermal grease on the rear side of the power module shows evidence of damage, it
must be replaced. If small impurities (see image) are present, these can be carefully removed using
a pointed tool.
Procedure:
1. Disconnect the inverter from all voltage sources (see Section 5, page 12).
2. Align the new power module so that the hole in the power module is above the threaded hole
in the enclosure. The position of the positioning nose must be aligned exactly as with the old
power module.
3. Place the power module into the enclosure without moving it on the enclosure. Tighten the
module screws slightly by hand to prevent the power module from slipping.
4. On the rear side of the new AC power controller
assembly, check whether the contact areas for the
power module are contaminated. If the contact
areas are contaminated, clean them with
isopropanol and an ESD-friendly, lint-free cloth.
