Troubleshooting (continued)
Problem
The light comes on for no
apparent reason.
The lights stay on continuously.
The lights ash on and off.

Possible Cause
The motion sensor may be sensing
small animals or automobile traf c.
The "RANGE" dial is set too high.
The outside temperature is much
warmer or cooler than a person's body
heat (summer or winter).
There was a short term power outage.
The light socket control is receiving
interference from another transmitter.
The motion sensor may be picking up
a heat source like an air vent, dryer
vent, or brightly painted, heat-re ective
surface.
Weak batteries are in the motion
sensor.
Signals from the motion sensor are
being blocked, or the motion sensor is
out of range.
Dip switches on the motion sensor and
light socket control do not match.
Heat is being re ected from other objects
and may be turning the motion sensor on
and off.

Re-aim the motion sensor.
Decrease the "RANGE"
setting.
Decrease the "RANGE"
setting.
The next transmission from
the motion sensor will reset
the light socket control to
the correct state.
Change the code setting on
the motion sensor and the
light socket control. See
Code Setting on page 10.
Decrease the "RANGE"
setting or reposition the
motion sensor.
Check battery charge and
replace if necessary.
Check for metal objects
that could block the signal,
or reposition the motion
sensor.
Verify the code settings on
motion sensor and light
socket control are set the
same.
Reposition the motion sensor.
