PMR2 – PMR TRANSMITTER/RECEIVER + FM RADIO
1. Introduction
Thank you for buying the PMR2. Read this manual carefully before bringing the device into service.
2. Features
a. Display (1) - Top Row
(top left) Normal PMR mode
(top left) PMR mode – VOX activated
(top left) radio mode
(top middle) Key Lock icon
(top right) Full batteries
(top right) Empty batteries: icon blinks to indicate
the batteries are almost empty
b. Display (1) - Bottom Row
1. PMR mode
At the left is either "R" (receiving) or "T" (transmitting)
In the middle is the channel number (1-8)
At the right is the code number (01-38 or not displayed in case of 00))
2. Radio mode
In radio mode, the selected frequency is shown.
c. Keys
At the front side, there are 4 keys: PMR/Radio (2), up (3), down (4), power/confirm
At the left side, there are two more keys: CALL (6) & PTT (Push-To-Talk) (7).
d. Other
The unit is equipped with a built-in microphone (8) and a speaker (9)
At the top side of the unit, there's a 2.5mm earphone/microphone socket (10). (see §6)
3. Installing Batteries
Turn the antenna up, the belt clip clockwise and unlock the battery compartment (clip at the bottom). Take the battery
compartment cover off and insert 4 AAA-batteries, respecting the polarity. Put the battery compartment cover back on
& lock it. Turn the belt clip counter-clockwise.
Always replace all batteries at once. Do not mix old with new ones. Do not mix different battery types or batteries of
different capacity. Do not mix rechargeable and non-rechargeable batteries.
