Safety Regulations (Continued)
- Please note that the fan heater can become
very hot and should, therefore, be placed
at a safe distance from flammable objects
such as furniture, curtains and similar
objects.
- NEVER suspend any objects from mounted
heater.
Assembly
Heater will operate on either 240 or 208 volts.
Check heater voltage and phase on label on
back of heater to make sure they are the same
as the electrical service supplied. See plug
configuration on page 2. Never use an adapter
for this blade configuration. The outlet must be
a 240 or 208 volt grounding outlet. When
properly installed, it will provide a ground
connection through the cord to the heater to
pretect the operator from electric shock.
Altering the cord in any way will void the
warranty.
Be sure that the electrical recepticle is of the
configuration and capacity appropriate fo rthe
heater. The ceiling mounting structure and
anchoring provisions must be of sufficient
strength to support the combined weight of the
heater and mounting bracket. Never suspend
any objects from the mounted heater.
1.Locate wood stud in ceiling where heater will
be mounted.
2.Use swivel bracket template to mark 4 holes
for drilling. Be sure a minimum of 2 holes
(across swivel bracket from each other) will be
drilled into wood stud in ceiling.
3.Pre-drill 4 holes for screws.
4.Attach swivel bracket to ceiling using 4 wash-
ers and screws (attach 2 screws to stud, then
turn 90 degrees to attach 2 final screws). 2
screws must be attached to a wood stud (min.
1.5"). If 2 remaining screws cannot be

attached to a wood stud, then moly / toggle
bolts should be used for 2 remaining holes.
Caution: If you are attaching this heater to a
ceiling surface other than a wood stud and dry-
wall, please use appropriate fasteners. the
screws included with your heater are not
intended to be used for metal studs. Do not
attach this heater to drywall only. Heater must
be attached to a stud with a minimum of 2
screws in opposing holes.
Operation
- Position the fan heater at a safe distance from
wet environments and flammable objects.
- Connect the fan heater to the electrical power.
- Set the thermostat dial to the maximum
temperature.
- The fan heater will switch on when the function
selector dial is set to one of the three power
settings.
- Once the room reaches the desired
temperature, turn the thermostat dial back until
heating element turns off. The fan will still
continue to run. The thermostat is now set at
your desired temperature, and the heater will
continue to maintain a constant temperature.
Cleaning and Maintenance
- Before cleaning the appliance, disconnect it
from the outlet and let it cool down.
- The enclosure is easy to get dirty. Wipe it often
with a soft sponge. For very dirty parts, wipe
with a sponge dipped in < 50°C water and
mild detergent, then dry the heater enclosure
with a clean cloth. Be careful not to let the
water enter the inside of the appliance
- In order to protect the enclosure, don't splash
water onto the heater, and never use a
solvent like gasoline, isoamyl acetate, toluene,
etc. to clean the heater. Servicing should be
done only while the heater is disconnected
from the supply cord.
