When filled as instructed, the base will weigh approximately 190# (86kg) The umbrella base MUST be filled with fresh water only! The use of salt water is strictly prohibited! WARNING: If the temperature is forecast to be below freezing (32 degrees F, 0 degrees C) for more than one day, you must disassemble the umbrella top from the base and drain both halves of the base of water to prevent damage!
