Immediately stop welding when the lens does not darken on the impact
of the arc.
The recommended operating temperature range for the welding lens is
-10°C to 55°C. Do not use the device outside this temperature range.
Operation:
1. The power supply of the helmet is made by solar cells with two lithium
batteries. The switching ON or OFF is automatically controlled by the current
cycle. You can use the helmet at any time you need it and then take it off after
work without having to press a button. The use of this helmet, similar to such
helmets with glass fi lters, can be done completely free.
2. On the impact of the arc the sight glass darkens immediately. At this moment,
according to the technical requirements, the user turns the darkness button (5)
into the direction indicated by the arrow to choose the optimal darkness.
3. By moving the selection knob (16) DELAY at the back of the casket, the time
required for the lens to get light again after welding can be changed from 0.1
to 0.9 seconds. Turn on MIN: The time when the lens lightens after welding,
changes to become shorter. The shortest time – depending on the temperature
of the welding point and the aperture value is about 0.1 seconds.. This setting
is ideal for (track welding) or production welding with short welds. Turn on MAX:
The time when the lens lightens after welding varies to become longer.
The longest time – depending on the temperature of the welding point and the
aperture value is about 0.9 seconds. This setting is ideal for welding at high
amperage with existing afterglow after welding.
4. By turning the selection knob (15) SENSITIVITY at the back of the casket, the
sensitivity to variations of the ambient light can be changed. Turn to LO (low):
changing to a lower light sensitivity. Suitable for the welding at high amperage
and the welding under conditions with bright light (lamp light or sunlight). Turn to
HI (high): changing to a higher light sensitivity. Suitable for the welding at low
amperage and the welding at weld-pool light conditions. If the helmet can be
used normally, we recommend to use it with a slightly higher light sensitivity.
5. As the head forms slightly vary from one person to another, the working
position and the angle of observation are also different. The user can adjust the
adjustment knob of the headband (8) and the segment positioning plate (9) in
order to choose an adequate angle of observation.
By pressing and turning of the adjustment screw (10) the circumference oft the
headband can be adjusted.
6. Turn the adjustment knob of the aperture counter-clockwise until you feel a
click of the knob. Now you can use the helmet for grinding. Please remember to
return the knob when you want to use the helmet again for welding.
