NOTE: The brewing process can be interrupted by pressing the
switch again at any time and the indicator light will turn off, indicating
that your coffee maker is off.
NOTE: the appliance is designed with a pause-and-serve feature, if
you wish, at any time during the brewing cycle, you can temporarily
remove the carafe to pour and serve a cup of hot coffee. The
brewing cycle will not be interrupted and no coffee will drip from the
appliance, simply return the glass carafe back onto the warming
plate to restart the brewing cycle. Do not remove the glass carafe
for longer than 30s, never return an empty carafe onto the warming
plate when it is still warm.
7. Remove the carafe to serve when brewing is complete.
NOTE: the amount of coffee you get will be less than the water you
have added, as some water is absorbed by the ground coffee.
WARNING: When pouring coffee, do not tip the carafe more than 45
degrees from the vertical. Pour the coffee slowly until the carafe is
empty, otherwise the coffee in the carafe will overflow from under the
lid, and this may cause injuries!
8. After brewing, the appliance will automatically switch to warming
mode, which will continue to keep your coffee warm for 40
minutes. After keeping warm for 40 minutes, the appliance will
be cut off automatically. For an optimum coffee taste, serve it just
after brewing.
9. Always turn the coffee maker off and unplug the appliance when
not in use.
HINTS FOR GREAT-TASTING COFFEE
1. A clean coffee maker is essential for making great-tasting coffee.
Regularly clean the coffee maker as specified in the "CLEANING"
section. Always use fresh, cold water in the coffee maker.
2. Store unused ground coffee in a cool, dry place. After opening a
packet of ground coffee, reseal it tightly and store it in a refrigerator
to maintain its freshness.
3. For an optimum coffee taste, buy whole coffee beans and finely
grind them just before brewing.
4. Do not reuse ground coffee since this will greatly reduce the
coffee's flavor. Reheating coffee is not recommended as coffee is
at its peak flavor immediately after brewing.
5. Clean the coffee maker when brewing causes oiliness. Small oil
droplets on the surface of brewed, black coffee are due to the
extraction of oil from the ground coffee.
6. Oiliness may occur more frequently if heavily roasted coffees are
used.

REMOVING MINERAL DEPOSITS
To keep your coffee maker operating efficiently, you should regularly
clean away the mineral deposits left by the water depending on the
water quality in your area and the frequency of use, we recommend
removing mineral deposits as follows:
1. Fill the tank with water and descaler to the max level as indicated
on the water gauge (the proportion of water and descaler is 4:1,
please refer to the descaler instructions. Please use "household
descaler"), you may also use citric acid instead of the descaler
(one hundred parts of water and three parts of citric acid).
2. Insert the glass carafe onto the warming plate.
3. Make sure there is no ground coffee and that the funnel is in place.
4. Switch on the appliance and allow it to "brew" the de-scaling
solution.
5. After "brewing " one cup of solution, switch off the appliance.
6. Leave the solution for 15 minutes and repeat steps 3-5.
7. Switch on the appliance and run off the solution until the water tank
is completely empty.
8. Rinse by operating the appliance with water at least 3 times.
