Cleaning and maintenance
Cleaning and maintenance
• Your unit must be properly maintained, in order to reduce the
risk of accidents and avoid repairs.
• Whilst carrying out the maintenance operations, do not use any
products that could damage the unit (e.g. abrasive products,
steam cleaners, etc.).
Cleaning the unit
• Make sure the unit is switched off and unplugged before carrying
out any maintenance.
• Use a soft, dry cloth to clean the unit's outer body.
• Should any stubborn stains persist, use a small amount of
cleaner and gently rub the affected area with a sponge to avoid
damaging the unit.
CD cleaning and maintenance
A few scratches or a little dust should not usually affect the
quality of a disc. That being said, discs must always be handled
with care.
• Protect compact discs from dust and scratches.
• Store your compact discs in their sleeves when not in use.
• In order to preserve the original sound quality, occasionally clean
your compact discs with a soft cloth. Start from the centre of
the disc and work your way outwards towards the edge (without
using circular motions). Do not use benzene or other solvents
to clean discs.
• Furthermore, only ever hold a disc by its edges.
• Do not stick paper on the disc or write anything on it or bend it.
