Halogen lamps may generate high pressure during operation. Explosions may occur
with aged halogen lamps and incorrect fuse. For this reason the lamp is covered with a
glass dome.
•
Damaged cables, glass domes and cases must be immediately replaced by customer
service.

SAFETY NOTE FOR ACCESSORIES
•
Rotalux softboxes and umbrellas are limited to 300 W halogen lamps.
•
Metal reflectors can be used with 650 W halogen lamps, except small or narrow
reflectors such as snoots and grids for Reflectors, which can be damaged or even
burned by the excessive heat of the halogen lamp.
•
Not used SCANLITE's should be switched off.
•
Ensure that the ventilation system of the SCANLITE works correctly.
•
No guarantee when materials are misused or damaged by excessive heat.
BEFORE YOU START
•
Ensure that the SCANLITE is switched OFF and the mains plug is removed, before
mounting the halogen lamp.
•
Ensure that the halogen lamp voltage and the fuse correspond to the mains voltage
110 V or 230 V
•
Ensure that the SCANLITE is in a workable condition. Do not use the SCANLITE if the
cable, fan or the housing show any kind of damage.
THIRD PARTY MANUFACTURERS
Use only original Elinchrom accessories and reflectors. The warranty does not cover
damages forced by third party accessories and reflectors.

ATTENTION
•
Always switch the SCANLITE off and wait until the unit cooled
down, before replacing halogen lamps or accessories! Note; for
faster cooling of the halogen lamp and the SCANLITE, switch the
light off, with the ON / OFF switch on the top of the head. The
fan cooling is active, wait 5 minutes at least, before removing the
mains plug.
•
The ambient temperature whilst the unit is in use: min. -20°C
(-4°F) up to max. 35°C (95°F)
