NOTE:
As the degree of cooking depends on several factors, it
is advisable in the case of large (egg sizes L and XL) or
cold eggs to use slightly more water. If the eggs are too
hard, please pour slightly less water than stated in the
cooking bowl, or slightly more if the eggs are too soft.
Electric Connection
Ensure that your mains power corresponds to the appliance's
specifications on the type label.

Operation

1. Set the on / off switch to the " " (off) position.
2. Place the appliance horizontally on a flat, dry surface. It
should be slip-resistant and heat-resistant.
WARNING:
• Turn the appliance off and disconnect from mains power supply.
• Do not immerse the appliance in water! Doing so may result in an
electric shock or fire.
• Clean and store the appliance only after it completely cooled
down. Risk of burns!
CAUTION:
• Do not use a wire brush or other abrasive utensils for
cleaning.
• Do not use aggressive or abrasive cleaning agents.
• Clean the surface with a damp cloth without cleaning
agents, if necessary.
• Clean hood and egg holder in dishwater.

3. Fill the cooking bowl with the amount of water signalled on
the measuring beaker for the number of eggs to be boiled.
4. Install the egg holder.
5. Pierce the eggs on their blunt side in order for the eggs
not to crack during cooking. In order to do so, use the egg
pricker on the bottom of the measuring cup.
6. Place the eggs into the egg holder with the pricked end
at the top.
7. Attach the cover.
8. Insert the plug in a duly installed socket.
9. Turn the appliance on using the on/off switch. The control
lamp now illuminates.
10. The eggs are ready when the buzzer sounds. Switch the
appliance off and remove the mains plug from the socket.
11.
12. Remove the egg holder using the grip. By doing so, you
can briefly hold the eggs under running cold water in
order to prevent subsequent cooking.
13. Let the appliance cool down before using it again or
before cleaning and storing.

Cleaning and Storage

• The decalcification intervals depend on the hardness of
the water and the frequency of use.
• If the appliance switches off before the water boils, it prob-
ably needs to be decalcified.
• Do not use vinegar, but a normal citric acid-based decalci-
fier. Follow the manufacturers' instructions!
WARNING: Risk of scalding!
Open the lid using the handle in such a way that steam
can escape to the back.
