TROUBLESHOOTING

COMPRESSOR CAN NOT START/RESTART
No electrical power, wire connector loose;
Make sure machine connects to power, Check
connector and motor overload switch.
Fuse shut off; Change fuse.
Circuit break; Reset circuit breaker, check for
the low voltage conditions.
Thermal overload switch open; Turn air com-
pressor off, wait until the motor is cool and
overload switch close, then running again.
Pressure switch ineffective; Replace Pressure
switch.
MOTOR STALLS OR RUNS SLOWLY
Voltage is too low: Check the low voltage con-
ditions.
Wrong lubrication or lack lubrication: See lu-
brication section in instruction manual.
Low power due to Poor connection: Check
connectors, eliminate extension cork if used,
check circuit with voltmeter.
Motor short circuit: Replace motor. Find a cer-
tified electrician check the motor and wiring.
Proceed with his or her recommendations.
Check valve is blocked: Disassemble check
valve to check if it is blocked, and replace it.
DANGER: Never disassemble check valve
under pressure. Release tank firstly.
FUSES BLOW /CIRCUIT BREAKER TRIPS RE-
PEATEDLY
CAUTION: Never use an extension cord
with this product.
Incorrect size fuse, circuit overloaded. Check
for proper fuse, use time-delay fuse.
Disconnect other electrical appliances from cir-
cuit or operate compressor on its own branch
circuit.
Defective check valve or unloaded: Replace or
repair.
DANGER: Never disassemble check valve
under pressure. Release tank firstly.
THERMAL OVERLOAD PROTECTOR CUTS
OUT REPEATEDLY
Low voltage: Eliminate extension cord, check
with voltmeter.
Clogged air filter: Clean filter (see Mainte-
nance section).
E N G L I S H •
Lack of proper ventilation/room temperature
too high: Move compressor to well ventilated
area.
Check valve malfunction: Replace.
Compressor valves failed: Replace valve as-
sembly.
DANGER: Never disassemble check valve
under pressure. Release tank firstly.
KNOCKS, RATTLES, EXCESSIVE VIBRATION
Loose bolts, tank not level: Tighten bolts, shim
tank to level position.
Defective bearing on eccentric or motor shaft.
Replace.
Cylinder or piston ring is scored: Replace or re-
pair as necessary
TANK PRESSURE DROPS WHEN COMPRES-
SOR SHUTS OFF
Loose drain cock: Tighten.
Check valve leaking: Disassemble check valve
assembly, clean or replace.
Loose connections at pressure switch or regu-
lator. Check all connections with soap and wa-
ter solution and tighten.
COMPRESSOR RUNS CONTINUOUSLY AND
AIR OUTPUT IS LOWER THAN NORMAL/LOW
DISCHARGE PRESSURE
Excessive air usage, compressor too small: De-
crease usage or purchase unit with higher air
delivery (SCFM).
Clogged intake filter: Clean or replace.
Air leaks in piping (on machine or in outside
system): Replace leaking components or tight-
en as necessary.
Broken inlet valves: Replace compressor valves.
Piston ring worn: Replace piston and cylinder.
EXCESSIVE MOISTURE IN DISCHARGE AIR
Excessive water in tank: Drain tank after every
use.
High humidity: Move to area of less humidity;
drain air tank more often in humid weather
and use air line filter.
NOTE: Water condensation is not caused by
compressor malfunction.
