6.12 Bit magazine (Fig. 12/Item 14)
When you have removed the cover (13), you can fit
the bit magazine (14) on the cordless screwdriver.
Place the bit magazine (14) on the cordless
screwdriver and secure it by turning it clockwise.
To remove the bits, you must press the knob (a) and
turn the housing (b).
6.13 Metal and voltage detector (Fig. 13/Item 15)
Important!
A measurement is only possible if the ON/OFF
switch is not pressed.
6.13.1 Assembly
The cover (13) must be removed (see point 6.12)
before the metal and voltage detector (15) can be
fitted. The metal and voltage detector (15) is fitted as
described in point 6.12 for fitting the bit magazine
(14).
6.13.2. Important information
Never try to manipulate the electronic system in
the metal and voltage detector (15) in any way
since otherwise the device will not necessarily
function correctly.
Note that the device needs to be held differently
depending on whether you are trying to locate
metal or a voltage, and that it also has an
indicated maximum detection range.
Ensure that you change the battery (5) on the
screwdriver promptly since otherwise the
measurement result may be falsified.
Large metallic objects, surfaces which have
metallic inclusions, electrostatically charged
surfaces and electrical appliances that are
operating and which contain motors and/or
transformers may have a negative effect on the
measurement process.
6.13.3 Switching on
Move the setting wheel (b) towards "MAX".
6.13.4 Switching off
Move the setting wheel (b) towards "MIN" until it
reaches its limit position.
6.13.5 Setting the sensitivity
After switching on the machine, move the setting
wheel (b) towards "MAX" until it reaches its limit
position. Check the setting on an exposed, live cable
by moving the drill bit in the chuck towards it until the

LED (a) lights up. Now adjust the required sensitivity.
6.13.6 Locating live cables
After setting the required sensitivity, point the tip of
the drill bit towards the surface you wish to check.
The LED indicator (a) will light up if there are any live
wires of the right type within the maximum indicated
range.
A measurement can be made both on the surface
and also in the hole (see Fig. 14/15).
6.14 Screwdriving
We recommend using self-centering screws (e.g.
Torx screws, recessed head screws) designed for
reliable working. Be sure to use a bit that matches
the screw in shape and size. Set the torque, as
described elsewhere in these operating instructions,
to suit the size of screw.
7. Cleaning, maintenance and
ordering of spare parts
Always pull out the mains power plug before starting
any cleaning work.
7.1 Cleaning
Keep all safety devices, air vents and the motor
housing free of dirt and dust as far as possible.
Wipe the equipment with a clean cloth or blow it
with compressed air at low pressure.
We recommend that you clean the device
immediately each time you have finished using it.
Clean the equipment regularly with a moist cloth
and some soft soap. Do not use cleaning agents
or solvents; these could attack the plastic parts of
the equipment. Ensure that no water can seep
into the device.
7.2 Maintenance
There are no parts inside the equipment which
require additional maintenance.
7.3 Ordering replacement parts:
Please quote the following data when ordering
replacement parts:
Type of machine
Article number of the machine
Identification number of the machine
