INTERCONNECTING CABLE FOR UNORIGINAL CAR
RADIO
Advice
The part "Interconnecting cable for unoriginal car radio", ordering No. AZA 700 001A, is inten-
ded solely for the professional fitting by the contract partners of Škoda Auto. The fitting
requires the use of special tooling and Workshop Manuals; because of that, this part must not
be sold to final users in a not mounted state.
The kit is intended for the electric connection of an unoriginal car radio into the vehic-
les Škoda Fabia (5J) and Roomster (5J7) with the electric preparation for an original car
radio.
For complete installation of an unoriginal car radio, the following conditions are requi-
red:
- The vehicle must be provided with a central section of the dashboard with a hole of
2DIN for the car radio.
- If the vehicle is not equipped so, order the central section from the catalogue of spare
parts, matching the colour of the vehicle.

- Fasten the unoriginal car radio into the hole 2DIN by means of the fitting kit
AZO 700 001. Connect the aerial lead with the car radio by means of the „phantom
adapter" (included in the kit AZO 700 001).
- Furthermore, the vehicle must be equipped with the electric installation for the car
radio, ending with the terminal board DIN. If the vehicle is equipped with the electric
preparation for an original car radio, use the interconnecting harness AZA 700 001A
(the reduction to the connection DIN).

- The diagram of the installation of the black/white wire (with the vehicles with R.H. steering,
the harness is installed in the mirror-inverted position).

- Lead the black/white wire of the harness AZA 700 001A in parallel with the electric installa-
tion of the vehicle, and connect it with the brown/red wire of the fuse SB 19 (signal 86S, the
so-called „S-contact"). Insert the enclosed fuse 7,5A.
