WORK AREA SAFETY

Do not operate the welding mask in environments containing potentially explosive atmospheres or inflammable
materials, because sparks may be generated, which can ignite the dust or fumes.
Keep children and bystanders away from your workplace while using the welding mask. Distraction from
other people can cause you to lose control over the welding mask during use.
Do not inhale any gases or fumes while carrying out welding jobs.
Do not use any hard objects on the mask lens, to prevent the filter from being damaged.
WELDING MASK SAFETY
• Before use, check that the welding mask has not been damaged.
• When using the welding mask for the first time, check that the protective film has been removed from the interior and
exterior screen guards.
• Check that the power supply is adequate before use.
• Check that the guard has not been damaged; check that the solar cell and the arc sensor have not been damaged or
blocked by dust.
• Check that no operating parts are worn off or damaged. Any scratched or broken parts should be replaced immediately,
so as not to incur any personal injury.
• Check that the filter is working correctly by means of self-test button "T".
• Choose the right shade number according to machine type and welding current.
• To clean the welding mask, use a dry cloth or soft cotton, cleaning tissues or lens paper. Do not immerse the filter in water.
Do not use any corrosive solvents or detergent dilution petrol.
PERSONNEL SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS
• Stay alert; watch what you are doing. Do not use the welding mask while tired or under the influence of drugs, alcohol, or medication.
• Carry out all operations in well-aired, dry rooms.
• Do not wear loose clothing, jewellery or metal objects when carrying out welding jobs.
• Replace the welding mask in a dry area, making sure not to damage it.
The welding mask alone does not protect you from all possible hazards arising from welding jobs. Additional
personal protective equipment may be required, depending on the values found in the environmental
hygiene/risk analysis, if the values exceed the limits under current regulations.
