OPERATION

TC-8Ds with a Serial No /3 on
ie units fitted with an 807 or 2208L controller:
1 The fluorescent indicator panel will display the measured and set
temperature in digital form.
2 To alter the set point depress the respective UP/DOWN button and
after a delay of two seconds the set point will change in the required
direction.

TC-8Ds prior to Serial No/3
ie fitted with an 805 controller and voltage selector switch:
1 Press and hold the Setpoint-Inspect button below the display. This
switches the display from measured temperature to setpoint
temperature.
2 Depress the thumbwheel to engage the mechanism. Set the
required temperature by rotating the thumbwheel upwards or
downwards to obtain the required setpoint on the display. Release
the push-button to read the measured temperature.
3 When the measured temperature is more than ±0.4% of span
(approx 3 C or 6 F) away from setpoint a red, error indicating, LED
o o
will illuminate. Also the orange OUTPUT 1 LED will be constantly
illuminated.
4 As the measured temperature rises towards the proportional band
the appropriate RED LED illuminate.
5 The OUTPUT 1 LED will start to flash on and off as less power is being
applied to the load. When the measured temperature is within ±0.4%
of setpoint the GREEN LED illuminates and the red error indicating
LED extinguishes.
