SPROCKET TIPS LUBRICATION
WARNING: Wear heavy duty work gloves when handling
the bar and chain.
CAUTION: The sprocket tips on your new saw have
been pre-lubricated at the factory.
Failure to lubricate the guide bar sprocket tip will
result in poor performance and seizure, voiding the
manufacturer's warranty.
Lubrication of the sprocket tip is recommended after 25
hours of use or once a week, which ever occurs first.
Always thoroughly clean guide bar sprocket tip before
lubrication.
NOTE: it is not necessary to remove the saw chain to
lubricate the guide bar sprocket tip.
Lubrication of the sprocket tip is recommended after 5
hours of use or once a week, whichever occurs first.
Always thoroughly clean guide bar sprocket tip before
lubrication.
NOTE: It is not necessary to remove the saw's chain to
lubricate the guide bar sprocket tip.
CHAIN LUBRICATION
Always ensure the automatic oiler system is working
properly.
Keep the oil tank filled with Bar and Chain or Sprocket
Oil.
Carefully fill the oil tank to approximately halfway on
the oil tank level, always maintaining close to this level.
Adequate lubrication of the bar and chain during cutting
operations is essential to minimise friction with the guide
bar.
IMPORTANT: Never starve the bar and chain of
lubricating oil.
Running the saw dry or with too little oil will decrease
cutting efficiency, shorten chain life, cause rapid dulling
of the chain, and lead to excessive wear of the bar from
overheating.
Too little oil is evidenced by smoke or bar discolouration.
