5. Do not allow cord to touch hot surface. Let the
raclette cool completely before cleaning.
6. Do not operate this appliance if it has a damaged cord
or plug, if it is not working properly or if it has been
damaged or dropped. If the supply cord is damaged, it
must be replaced by the manufacturer or its service agent
or a similarly qualified person in order to avoid a hazard.
7. Close supervision is necessary for any appliance
being used by or near children. Do not leave raclette
unattended while connected.
8. To avoid a circuit overload, do not operate another
high voltage appliance on the same circuit.
9. If an extension cord is absolutely necessary, a ampere
cord should be used. Cords rated for less amperage may
overheat. Care should be taken to arrange the cord so
that it cannot be pulled or tripped over.
10. All repair work should be carried out by an approved
service center.
11. The heating element has been slightly greased and as
a result the raclette might slightly smoke when switched
on for the first time. After a short while, this will cease. Let
the raclette work for 10 minutes before first used, this will
remove the smell and smoke.
12. This device is not intended for use by persons with
reduced capacity on the physical, mental or sensory or
lack of experience and knowledge (including children),
unless they have had instructions to use the appliance by
a person responsible for their safety use of the appliance
and understand the hazards involved. Children should be
supervised to ensure they do not play with the device.
