Warning – To a void po ssible electric sho ck or personal injury, and to avoid pos sible d amage
to the Met er or to the equip men t under te st, adhere to the following rule s.
Bef ore usi ng th e Meter i nspect th e case. Do not use the Met er if it is dam aged or the cas e (or part of the

case) is re mov ed. Lo ok f or cracks or missi ng plastic. Pay attention to the insu lati on arou nd the
con nect ors.
Inspect the test lea ds f or da ma ge d ins ulatio n or ex pos ed metal. Check t he test le ads for continuity.

When the Mete r worki ng at a n effective voltage over 60V i n DC or 30V rms in AC, s peci al care should

be taken for the re is da ng er of electric sh ock.

Rep lac e the battery as soon as the batt ery indic ator "- + "a ppe ars. With a lo w batt ery, the Met er mi ght

pro d uce false r ea di ngs th at can lead to elect ric sh ock and perso nal i nj ury .
Rem ov e test le ads, test cli ps an d tem pe rat ure pr obe f rom th e Meter and turn the Meter p o we r of f bef ore

openin g the Meter case.
When serv icing th e Meter, use o nly the same m od el numb er o r id entic al e lectrical specif icatio ns
