maker
Your sandwich maker can be used in
two positions: -
Closed – for making toasted/grilled
sandwiches and snacks including
pannini & focaccia.
Opened Flat – as a griddle for
patties, fritters, pikelets, kebabs,
bacon, tomatoes, mushrooms etc.
IMPORTANT
Be careful when biting into anything
cooked in the sandwich maker , as
some filling such as cheese and jam
can be extremely hot and will burn if
eaten too quickly.
to make toasted
sandwiches
1 Close the lid and plug in. The power
on light will come on.
2 The temperature light will come on
once the correct cooking
temperature has been reached.
3 Whilst the sandwich maker is heating
up prepare the bread and filling.
Always select bread of a suitable
size to fit the plates.
For golden toasted sandwiches,
spread butter on the outside of the
bread. Do not use low fat spreads,
which are not suitable for toasting.
Place the filling between the
unbuttered side of the bread.
Ensure the sandwiches are evenly
filled to assist with even browning.
4 Unlatch the handle
lid.
5 Place the sandwiches on the plate
and close and latch the lid. Do not
force the lid closed.
If the lid is difficult to close you may
have added too much filling or the
bread is too thick.
6 Allow the sandwiches to toast for
3 – 8 minutes depending on taste
and to ensure raw ingredients
(e.g bacon) are thoroughly cooked.
Alternatively, pre-cook before
toasting.
Beware of steam which may escape
from the front of the appliance
during cooking.
7 The temperature light will come on
and off as the sandwich maker
maintains the correct temperature.
8 When the sandwiches are cooked,
carefully remove them using a
wooden or plastic spatula.
9 Do not use metal utensils as they will
scratch and damage the non-stick
surface.
10 Switch off and unplug after use.
Allow the sandwich maker to cool
completely before cleaning.
