How do I reboot my RouDem?
•
Restarting the device is always a good
idea if you encounter problems with
your RouDem.
•
If this does not help, RouDem can be
restored to factory settings.
•
If this does not resolve the issue, please
contact our Customer Support desk.
See our contact info on the reverse.
•
If your MiWire is easily accessible, you
can press the on/off button: Turn it off
and wait until the LED in the on/off
button stops flashing. Then turn it on
again.
•
If your RouDem is installed so that you
cannot reach the on/off button, you
can still reboot your RouDem via the
MiWires User interface (192.168.2.1) by
pressing Reboot under
Admin.
•
Connect to the User Interface with Wi-Fi
or via a cable from the power adapter
to your PC.
•
If this does not work, then take the Rou-
Dem cable out of the PoE adapter/pow-
er supply and then put it back in again.
Repeat twice and then check whether
there is still light in the on/off button.
The button will flash a couple of times
and then turn off. Repeat if necessary.
•
Next, take the RouDem cable out and
put it back in the PoE adapter/power
supply again, after which the device will
turn on automatically.
How do I upgrade to the latest software?
RouDem updates to the latest software
between 3 am and 5 am on the last Sunday
in the month.
Alternatively, you can download new soft-
ware from the MiWire website and install it
on your device via the "Admin" page in the
MiWire user interface (192.168.2.1).
TROUBLESHOOTING
Why is the status indicator light red?
Check whether the GPS indicator on the
Status page is green.

If not, this is because RouDem has not loca-
ted enough satellites and the device has to
be moved outdoors so that it has a clear line
of sight to the sky.
•
Check whether the "Mobile Network"
indicator is green.
•
If the indicator is yellow, this is because
RouDem is not connected to a mobile
network. This can be resolved by mo-
ving the device outdoors and up so that
it has a clear line of sight through 360
degrees.
•
If the indicator is red, this is because
there are problems with the data subs-
cription.
•
Contact your telecoms service/network
provider if the problem persists.
Check whether the SIM card indicator is
green.
•
If not, this may be because the SIM
card is not seated correctly. Try remo-
ving the SIM card and putting it back
again.
Why can't I access the RouDem user inter-
face (192.168.2.1)?
•
Make sure your computer is connected
to RouDem via a cable (Ethernet) or
WiFi.
•
Make sure your computer is configured
to automatically retrieve an IP address
and DNS server address.
•
Restart your browser, or try using a
different browser.
•
If possible, try using another device with
WiFi - a smartphone, for instance.
INSTALLATION
Can I install MiWire RouDem myself?
Yes. You can place MiWire on a table, for
example, and it will work with no pro-
blems. MiWire can also be attached to a
Ø38 mm pipe/rod and mounted wherever
is easiest relative to the user's location:
this is recommended for shortterm use
on brief holidays at a summer house,
for example, in a camper van or on a
boat. However, the higher the position of
MiWire RouDem above ground level, the
better the function, so you should always
try to place the device above roof level in
order to gain an unobstructed line to the
mast you connect to.
What the goods are broken when I receive
them?
If you receive broken equipment, please
return it to the dealer where you purchased
the equipment, or contact Customer Support
at kundesupport@miwire.net.
