3.2 FiRE SaFETY

In case of a building fire affecting the PV system, YGE PV modules on the roof are likely to produce
dangerous DC voltage, even in the cases of:
»
Low light intensity,
»
Modules being disconnected from the inverter,
»
Modules being partly or entirely destroyed and
»
Cabling being compromised or destroyed.
» During and after a fire stay away from all elements of the PV systems.
» Inform the fire brigade about the particular hazards from the PV system.
» Have your installer perform the necessary steps to bring the PV system back into a safe mode.

Your YGE PV modules are an integrated part of your PV system that was installed from an authorized
installer. All power generating and safety functions are being controlled from the power inverter and –
if applicable - DC and AC switches. There is no separate operation of the YGE PV modules.
Never disconnect any fixed electrical connections.
Use only DC- and AC disconnect as per instructions given from the installer.
Operate your PV system according to the instructions provided from your PV
system installer.
Report any unusual observations, like reduced performance or visible damages of
modules, mounting racks, cabling and inverters, immediately to your PV system
installer. He will inform you about necessary measures and take appropriate
actions to bring the system back to proper function and full safety.
WARNING! POTENTIAL LETHAL SHOCK FROM ELECTRICALLY LIVE PARTS!
FIRE HAZARD IN CASE OF INCORRECT INSTALLATION!
HAZARD OF FALLING FROM ROOFS!
