Lower exhaust muffler: Use soapy water to lubricate exhaust rubber hangers. Using
exhaust removal pliers, remove rubber hangers at (3) rearmost locations. Note: Be
sure to support exhaust before removing rubber hangers.

Install hitch: Use wire brush to clean paint and debris from weldnuts. Raise the hitch
into position and secure hitch to vehicle with (3) M12 bolts ① and (3) 1/2" conical
washers ②, both sides, see Figure 1. Note: If necessary, firmly press heat shield up
to keep from contacting top of hitch.

Trim panels: Using tape and marker, sketch a 2" x 2" square on inside corner of
panel under vehicle, both sides. Using die grinder, remove 2" x 2" corner, both sides.

Tighten all M12 fasteners with torque wrench to 76 Ft.-Lb. (103 N*M).
Proper torque is needed to keep the hitch secure to the vehicle when towing.
5.
Reinstall the rubber hangers and exhaust muffler.
