CTI/GSM TELEPHONE
INTERFACE
The CTI/GSM dual-band interface
card can be used to add to the
existing features of CT...U-CT...E
telephone switchboards.
Using the interface, switchboards
manage a GSM telephone line,
providing functions and savings
that would not otherwise be possi-
ble.
Programming
The interface does not require any
specific
programming,
though
receivers must be enabled to
receive GSM calls and access the
GSM network.
Enter programming mode from
receiver 50 (see switchboards pro-
gramming manual on page 20).

By programming the LCR system
(see programming manual on page
37), outgoing calls can be routed
automatically to the GSM network
once the desired GSM code is rec-
ognized.

Continue dialling - the number
dialled is sent four seconds after
the last digit is entered.
Installation instructions
Make sure the switchboard is not
plugged in.
Remove terminal cover (fig. 1) and
housing (fig. 2).
Insert interface in connector J2
and fasten with the screws sup-
plied to the two printed circuit
spacers A (fig. 3).
Disable the PIN code request
using a cellular phone, following
the procedure described in the
phone's manual.
Open the SIM card drawer as illus-
trated in fig. 4 and insert the SIM
card (fig. 5). Close the drawer.
Push out the knockout cable entry
on the housing (fig. 6).
Refit housing and terminal cover.
Connect antenna cable to relevant
connector (fig. 7).
Position the antenna away from
electrical equipment and metal
elements that might interfere with
reception.
Switch on the switchboard. After
three seconds, the LED on the
interface lights, indicating that the
module is powered.
The LED is visible through slots at
the top of the housing (fig. 7).
After approx. 10 seconds, the LED
starts flashing if GSM telephone
connection is active.
It flashes quicker during the actual
call.

mA.
• Current demand during opera-
tion: peak 1.9 A.
• Operating modes: E-GSM-900
and DCS-1800.
• GSM-900 power transmitted:
peak 2 W on 50 Ω.
• DCS-1800 power transmitted:
peak 1 W on 50 Ω.
• Sensitivity: -102dB 1 m away.

DISPOSAL
Do not litter the environment with
packing material: make sure it is
disposed of according to the regu-
lations in force in the country where
the product is used.
When the equipment reaches the
end of its life cycle, take measures
to ensure it is not discarded in the
environment.
The equipment must be disposed
of in compliance with the regula-
tions in force, recycling its compo-
nent parts wherever possible.
Components that qualify as recy-
clable waste feature the relevant
symbol and the material's abbre-
viation.
