INSTALLATION
INSTALL THE FIRE ACCESS BOX
FIGURE 1:
1. Insert the connector into the back of fi re access box and
secure with the nut.
2. Insert the conduit and cable through the connector and into
the fi re access box.
3. Pull the majority of the cable slack through the conduit and
fi re access box and tighten the connector onto the conduit.
NOTE: If the connector does not fi t the conduit a separate
connector will need to be purchased.
4. Mount the fi re access box to a structure that allows easy
access to the front door of the fi re access box.

5. Insert the cable through the cable bracket and attach the cable
bracket to the fi re access box using 8-32 x 1/2" screws.
6. Slide the cable collar onto the cable. Cut the cable's outer
sheath fl ush with the front surface of the cable collar. Leave
5-7 inches (12.7-17.8 cm) of inner cable exposed. Secure the
cable collar to the cable with the set screw. Fasten the 8-32 x
3/16" screw to the cable bracket.
7. Slide the cable stop onto the cable end.
8. Slide the handle onto the cable and secure with the set screw.
Trim the excess cable.
9. Pull the handle to disconnect the operator and hold the handle
in the disconnect position. Push the cable stop against the
cable bracket. Tighten with provided screw. Readjust the cable
stop position if necessary.
10. Test to make sure both the disconnect and engaged position
are correct.
