Notes on installing flat seals:
• Cleaning and inspection: sealing surfaces and
threads must be clean and free from cracks. Flat
seals must be dry and must not be damaged.
• Lubrication: provide the thread with a suitable
lubricant (e.g. Solar Fermit).
• Applying seals: hand-tighten the screw connec-
tion
• Tightening: tighten by a half-turn, while applying
counterpressure.

CAUTION

Seals/connections may become damaged.
• Retighten only at the ambient temperature
• and when the unit is de-pressurised.
Establish pressure-tight joints using hemp and a
suitable sealing paste, e.g. Solar Fermit.
