How to Make Coffee
1. Remove lid. Take out coffee basket and stem assembly.
2. Fill with tap water to the level on Coffee Level Indictor
for desired number of cups. You must brew a minumum
of 10 cups. Coffee urn will make up to 40 cups.
DO NOT OVERFILL THE COFFEE URN.
NOTE: For best results, always use cold, fresh tap water.
3. Wet coffee basket (this helps to keep small particles of
coffee grinds from sifting through).
4. Place stem assembly, spring side up, into tank. Place coffee
basket on stem assembly. Make sure stem assembly is prop-
erly seated in heat well in center or urn may not percolate.
5. Measure ground coffee into coffee basket. Do not spill coffee
grounds in the stem. Spread coffee evenly in basket.

NOTE: We recommend using coffee that has been ground
specifically for use in a percolator-type coffee maker. However,
coffee marked "For All Coffee Makers" is acceptable. If using a
coffee grinder and whole beans, percolator coffee should be a
coarse grind. Finely ground coffee may cause basket to over-
flow and result in grounds in coffee.
6. Place the lid on coffee urn and turn to lock.
7. Plug in the urn. The unit will automatically begin brewing.
NOTE: To avoid damaging urn, do not plug in urn when
there is no water or liquid inside.
8. When brewing cycle is complete, percolation stops and
Indicator light illuminates to indicate coffee is ready to
serve.
9. To dispense, press cup against coffee dispensing bar.
