To assemble and attach, continued:
5. Attach the Knuckle-Swing Plate Assembly to the Amputee
Pad using the 3/16" hex key. (Fig. F)
a. Make sure the Yellow Keeper is on the outer side of
the Amputee Pad for correct righthand or lefthand
assembly**.
b. Using the 3/16" hex key, loosen the Socket Head Cap
Screws; slide the tube on the Knuckle Assembly into
the Interlock Clamp; and tighten the two Socket Head
Cap Screws.
**Note: Refer to the images for correct righthand or lefthand
assembly.
6. Reposition the Swing Plate onto the Mount Plate, moving
the Amputee Pad towards center of the wheelchair until
the Yellow Keeper locks into position. (Fig. G)
7. Adjust the height of the Amputee Pad so that the
contact surface is level with the seat cushion surface by
loosening the Swing Plate Screw. (Fig. G)
8. Adjust the depth of the Amputee Pad by loosening
the Socket Head Cap Screws. Tighten the Swing Plate
Locking Screw () to prevent rotation. (Fig. F and G)
9. To ensure that all screws are tight: Use the 3mm hex key
to securely fasten the locking screws () on the Interlock
Clamp (x2), and Swing Plate (x1). Use the 3/16" hex key to
securely fasten the two Mount Plate Screws.
To lock and unlock the assembly:
Press the Yellow Keeper to unlock and swing away the
assembly. Once the Yellow Keeper is unlocked, the
assembly may be removed and replaced.
To lock: Push the assembly toward the center of the
wheelchair until the Yellow Keeper locks into position.
