1. SAFETY

1�1 Intended use
The machine is intended for household use.
The machine can be used to pack and marinate various products in the vacuum bag.
For packaging and marinating, only adequate and prefabricated vacuum bags may
be used. See Section 5.4 "Vacuum bag" on page 44.
The machine is designed for 40 consecutive packaging processes. Afterwards, allow the
machine to cool down to room temperature.
The machine can be used to vacuum bottles and vacuum containers using the included
vacuum hose.
Only glass bottles may be used as vacuuming bottles.
Damaged or thin-walled glass bottles must not be used for vacuuming under any
circumstances.
Only adequate vacuum containers may be used for vacuuming the vacuum
containers.
Food products that contain carbon dioxide must not be vacuumed.
Liquids must not be sucked in through the vacuum opening or the vacuum hose under
any circumstances.
Living organisms must not be packaged.
Electronic devices must not be packaged.
The machine is not intended for external use.
1�2 Safety instructions
The VAMA CASA packaging machine is built according to the current state of the art. Never-
theless, dangers to persons, the machine and other material assets can arise during use.
If the machine has been damaged or dropped, do not switch on the device.
The repairs may only be carried out by the manufacturer or by a service centre authorised
by the manufacturer.
Do not pack or marinate highly flammable, combustible or explosive products with the
machine.
Do not pack powdered or dusty products with the machine.
Dangers due to electrical energy
Do not touch damaged or burnt power cables or power plugs. In this case, the power
cable must be replaced immediately.
The mains voltage of the machine must match the mains voltage of the electricity supply.
It is very important to compare the specified mains voltage on the rating plate with the
mains voltage of the mains supply before connecting the machine to the power outlet.
The machine must never be immersed in water or other liquids.
There are electrically live components inside the machine. The power supply unit must be
unplugged before opening the housing.
ATTENTION: We expressly point out that opening the machine during the warranty period
immediately voids the warranty.
Check the electrical equipment of the machine regularly, especially the power cables.
