Special safety instructions
For use with cold or lukewarm ash only!
Never blow on ash, regardless of whether it is
hot or cold!
Hot ashes or glowing ashes are a � re hazard.
Due to the suction in the ash vacuum
cleaner, embers may � are up as they are
sucked in.
Check any ashes carefully for hot embers by
raking (use a poker or similar object)!
If hot ashes are accidentally sucked up, place
the container outdoors for at least 24 hours
before disposing of them.
Try not to suck up charcoal, liquids, sharp or
wet objects or large objects using the ash
vacuum cleaner.
Do not use the ash vacuum cleaner unless
the � lter is � tted.
Do not use the ash vacuum cleaner for
purposes other than cleaning hearths.
Check mains electricity supply is suitable for
appliance (see type plate).
Do not use the appliance in an area with
� ammable or explosive materials, as this may
cause a � re if the motor sparks.
The suction connector must not be blocked,
as this may cause the appliance to overheat
and damage the motor.
Protect the appliance against strong sunlight
and high temperatures, as this may damage
the plastic parts.
Important when using the ash vacuum
cleaner:
Make sure that the cover/motor section does
not come into contact with water, as the
motor is electric, and contact with water may
cause personal injury.
Clean the ash container with a well-wrung
cloth and allow it to dry.
Avoid overloading or stretching the hose.
Important!
Always clean the � lter after use.
When washing the container:
Detach the motor section (the top) from the
container.
Make sure that the container is completely
dry before replacing it on the motor unit.
Use
1. Attach the � lter holder (11) to the motor
unit (3) and then attach the fabric � lter
(12).
2. Insert the metal hose's (7) socket into the
suction connector (8).
3. Connect the ash vacuum cleaner to
mains electricity and switch it on at the
on/off switch (10).
4. You can now clean your stove, � replace
or barbecue of ash using the aluminium
tube (6).
5. Once you have � nished cleaning, switch
off the ash vacuum cleaner and hold
the aluminium tube and hose vertical
to allow loose ash to drip down into the
container.
6. Once the container is full up to the
suction nozzle, empty the contents of
the container out into suitable packaging
material and dispose of it.
7. The ash vacuum cleaner can also blow
if you attach the metal hose's socket (7)
to the exhaust nozzle (2). Be particularly
careful when using this function!
When blowing, the container must be
completely empty and clean, and the
� lter must be removed.
