Preparing for Use

Charging Your Rotadent ProCare

The Rotadent ProCare is powered by a rechargeable nickel-metal hydride (NiMH) battery. When
fully charged, the Rotadent ProCare may last up to two weeks (when used for two minutes, twice a
day), depending on brushing conditions.
Initial Charging
• Plug the power cord of the charging base into a working outlet.
• Place the Rotadent ProCare into the charging base. The charging indicators will blink.
IMPORTANT: In order to achieve a full charge, charge your Rotadent ProCare for at least
24 hours prior to initial use.
Recharging
When the power level of your Rotadent ProCare noticeably decreases, it is time to recharge the
battery. Follow the steps listed under the Initial Charging section.
Once the battery has reached a full charge, the LED indicators will stop blinking (as shown in the
LED Indicators section on the next page). At that point, there is no risk of overcharging the battery
by leaving the handle on the charging base. For everyday use, you can safely leave the handle on
the charging base with the charging base plugged into a wall outlet, without affecting the useful life
of the battery.
IMPORTANT: The handle is sealed for your safety and the battery is not accessible.
