CHARGING AND USE
•Fully charge the batteries before first use.
•Place one to two batteries in the battery charging cradle with supplied power cord
and connect the plug to the appropriate power source. The light on the battery charger
will show green when charged and red when the battery is low. A full charge for two
batteries will take approximately four hours.
•Place lamp on table facing up, lift rear rubber gasket exposing battery back
compartment, Insert one Li-ion battery into the bottom row of the compartment
positive end facing right and replace rubber gasket.
•The lamp will operate for up to five hours on a fully charged battery.
•Press the on/off switch on the rear side of the lamp (l = UV light), (O = off).
UV INTENSITY VERIFICATION
To ensure that your EagleEye-1™ EEX-1000 lamp is operating at the required
UV intensity, it should be checked periodically. The AccuMAXTM XRP-3000
radiometer/photometer kit uses a UV-A sensor detector to accurately measure
ultraviolet irradiance. For more information about these units, please contact the
Customer Service Department at Spectro-UV. Call toll-free 1-866-230-7305.
CARE AND USE OF LITHIUM-ION (Li-ion) BATTERIES
•Do not allow Li-ion batteries to fully discharge frequently, since this will put a
strain on the batteries. They will work more efficiently on multiple partial discharges
through regular use (every 2-3 weeks), and frequent recharges.
•The batteries may be left in the battery cradle after charging. The charger
automatically cuts the charge when the charge is full.
•Remove the batteries from the lamp and store it separately. Before prolonged storage
(30 days or more), charge the battery for at least two hours. Store partially charged
for best results.
•Store in a fairly cool environment away from sunlight, heat and humidity. Store
the battery at temperatures between 5 °C and 20 °C (41 °F and 68 °F). NOTE: The
battery self-discharges during storage. Higher temperatures (above 20 °C or 68 °F)
will reduce the battery storage life.
•Lithium-Ion batteries are subject to disposal and recycling regulations that vary by
country and region. Always check and follow your applicable regulations before
disposing of any battery.
CARE AND MAINTENANCE OF LAMP
•Turn off lamp and ensure unit is cool before cleaning filter glass. Please use lens
tissue, or non-dust cloth for cleaning.
•Be sure to use genuine EagleEye replacement parts. Using another manufacturer's
parts could affect product performance and will void the lamp's warranty.
LIMITED WARRANTY
The warranty policy for the EEX-1000 is provided on the Certificate of Limited
Warranty enclosed separately with each unit.
