Thank you for buying a LSL product. Because of our passion for motorcycles all our products are designed to meet your needs as a motorcyclist. We wish you always a safe and pleasant ride with your new LSL product from Paaschburg
& Wunderlich GmbH.
ATTENTION:
Important safety instructions. Failure to do so may endanger your health and life. Only when professionally installed is the statutory warranty and driving safety fulfilled. Pay attention to information in the operating
instructions of the vehicle or specifications of the vehicle manufacturer. This is necessary to not affect the driving safety. The assembly of the motorcycle handlebar is a safety-relevant work on the vehicle. If you are not a trained
mechanic, contact a specialist workshop to install the handlebars. Please stick to the installation procedure and the tightening torque of the clamping screws to the specifications of the vehicle manufacturer. The manufacturer assumes
no liability for damage due to improper installation of the handlebar. Structural changes to the parts are to be omitted and lead to the loss of liability and warranty claims.
Please keep this manual for later use.
ATTENTION:
Before installing the handlebar, check whether your vehicle ("trade name"), vehicle type ("official type") corresponds to line D.2 of the registration certificate Part I.
Approval number ("ABE / EG-BE" corresponds to row K of the registration certificate, Part I,) and year of construction, in which ABE is listed may be subject to additional requirements.
ATTENTION:
For vehicles, which are not listed in the model list, or handlebars, which are not indicated in the range of use ("-" in the column of this handlebar), approval by acceptance acc. § 19 (2) StVZO is possible

1. The dimensions and manufacturing tolerances of individual motorcycle manufacturers are different! Before installing the handlebars, check the original diameter of your handlebar and only use a handlebar with the same diameter.
Check all mounting parts, such as clamps, fittings, and other accessories clamped onto the handlebars, for sharp edges at the contact points to the handlebars (see Fig. 1).
2.
ATTENTION:
The electrical cables, bowden cables and hydraulic lines must be of sufficient in length and must be secured against buckling or scouring. The brake hoses shall not fall below a minimum bending radius of 40 mm. The
brake hoses must not be clamped or twisted during spring-in or out ingession and steering impact.
3. Before tightening the clamp blocks, make sure that the handlebars are all around in the clamp block and not on the edges (see Fig. 2).
4. The surface of a coated handlebar is particularly sensitive to scratch, impact and pressure. Installation must therefore be carried out with the utmost care, observing the following points:
•
Positioning of the handlebar may only be carried out with the clamps very loosely tightened
Turning and moving the fittings shall only be done with completely released clamps
•
Positioning may be carried out with assistance. Only after the final alignment tighten the clamps with full torque
•
5. Stick to the manufacturer's torque specifications, when tightening the clamping bracket screws. Clamping blocks and fittings leave slight imprints on the surface. These are unavoidable, but do not damage the structural integrity of
the handlebar.
6. The LSL handlebars are supplied without fixing holes for switch units, due to the individual positions varying inbetween motorcycle models. Use the hole positions from the standard parts and drill into the handlebar at correct
places with the appropriate hole diameter (max. .5mm!). The use of the LSL drilling template is strongly recommended for the clean insertion of the holes in the grip area. Item no. 902DT01 for 5mm holes, for 4mm (e.g. BMW)
the art.-no.: 902DT03. For steel handlebars, seal the inner sides of the holes with a little varnish! If the handlebar clamps are rigidly connected to each other - mounting directly on the triple clamp, or with rubber mounting rigid
connection of both clamp units - the LSL handlebars can optionally be provided with an elongated hole (W x L = 5 x 25mm) centrally between the clamps for routing electrical cables.
7. Before the first ride, it is essential that the handlebars are firmly located in the clamps and cannot be twisted under load. By turning the handlebars, ensure that the control units are not touching the tank and fairing parts.
ATTENTION:
A handlebar that has been drilled incorrectly, bent in an accident or damaged by other external influences must not be used any further! To prevent bending of the handlebars, the vehicle must not be lashed over the
handlebar ends for transport!
