INSTRUCTIONS FOR USE
DESCRIPTION: The QWIK ALARM
with water. The alarm is powered by four (4) AAA batteries and features an audible low battery alarm by emitting a short beep periodically.
1.
Open the top cover to access the circuit board with battery holder sleeve. Remove the circuit board from the battery holder sleeve and insert four AAA batteries
into the battery container.
2.
Reinstall the circuit board and battery container into the battery holder sleeve ensuring that the brass clips on the side of the circuit board contact the brass strips
on the side of the battery holder sleeve.
3.
Activate the alarm by setting the slide switch on the circuit board to L for low volume or H for high volume.
4.
Slide the battery holder sleeve down the main body and ensure the brass contact strips touch the contact pins of the main body.
5.
Test the QWIK ALARM
®
by immersing the sensor contacts in water. You will hear three beeps every 5 seconds. This indicates that the unit is working properly.
6.
To silence alarm, simply remove the sensor contacts from the water and wipe them dry. Blowing air across the sensor leads will remove any residual moisture
that may still be on them.
7.
Remove the tank lid from the QWIK JON
pipe. Use a deburring tool to clean up the hole. Insert the pipe seal with the QWIK ALARM
and set in the opening before the alarm is inserted all the way in. A lubricant such as soapy water may be used.
®
a)
Test your QWIK ALARM
every 3 months and, if necessary, clean the silver color water level sensor contact area to ensure proper operation.
b)
Under normal circumstances the four AAA batteries should provide approximately one year of service. REPLACE YOUR BATTERIES AT LEAST ONCE A YEAR
to ensure proper operation. NOTE: Damp locations or high temperature may reduce the battery life.
c)
The alarm will sound one beep every 30 seconds if the battery is low. Please change the batteries.
