The electronic speed controllers of these series control the
speed of single phase (230 VAC, 50 - 60 Hz) voltage control-
lable motors by varying the supplied voltage through phase
angle control.
There is a potentiometer and a separate ON/OFF switch with
built in telltale. The allowed minimum speed can be adjusted
internally by a little trimmer (factory preset = 100 VAC). The
terminal board has a supplementary connection to bypass
the ON/OFF switch (automatic start) or to branch off 230 VAC,
not controlled (for a three wire motor connection, valve, lamp,
damper, etc ...).
There are two working modes, internally selectable by placing
Kick start is enabled
or removing the red jumper on the PCB (see the illustration).
Kick start disabled
1. Kickstart: the motor always starts (or restarts) at max. speed
(normal start)
for 8-10 seconds, after that the motor speed automatically fol-
lows the position of the potentiometer.
2. Normal start: the motor starts according to the position of
the potentiometer.
The enclosure IP54 allows use in most demanding environ-
ments.
Mounting
1. Be sure that the controller is at OFF position.
2. Open the enclosure cover by loosening the 4 screws. Note
that the potentiometer is connected to the PCB with 2 wires.
3. Connect the mains, motor(s) and earth cables having proper
diameter to the terminals according to the wiring diagram.
4. Start the controller and adjust the minimum speed:
put the potentiometer at minimum, adjust the
t, [s]
little trimmer, so that the motor continues running
or restarts smoothly in case of power faults. The
minimum speed factory preset is 100 VAC.
5. Close the box and verify that the installation works fine.
Not acceptable
6. The operating position must be as shown.

All works may only be carried out by skilled
personnel following the local regulations and
AFTER the controller is completely separated
from the mains.
Replace the fuse only with the same type and
rating.
