WARNING:
This insert sheet is not a substitute for reading the operator's
manual. To reduce the risk of injury or death, user must read and
understand operator's manual before using this product.
WARNING:
To prevent accidental starting that could cause serious personal
injury, always remove the battery pack from the product when
assembling parts.
WARNING:
Always install the powerhead cover when using the auger in
snow, ice, or wet conditions. Do not allow snow, ice, or rain on
the auger housing or battery pack. Wipe the auger clean with
a dry cloth occasionally. If the cover begins to leak, replace the
cover before using the auger.
n The ice blade is extremely sharp. Use extreme caution when
drilling a hole or replacing the blade. Install the blade guard after
each use. Always store with blade guard attached.
n Wear non-slip, heavy-duty protective gloves. Wear non-skid,
protective footwear that will protect your feet and improve your
footing on slippery surfaces.
n Dress properly. Do not wear loose clothing or jewelry. Keep your
body, hair, drawstrings, scarves, hats, gloves, and loose clothing
away from moving parts. Loose clothes, jewelry or long hair can
be caught in moving parts.
n Do not operate any power tool under the influence of alcohol or
drugs.
n This product translates considerable rotational forces to the
operator. Make sure your feet are firmly planted. Hold both
handles firmly while operating the auger.
n Do not leave the auger unattended outdoors. Store indoors while
not in use.
n When drilling ice, do not push down on the auger. If the auger
begins to drill slowly the bit may need to be sharpened or re-
placed.
n KEEP THE POWERHEAD AND BATTERY DRY AT ALL TIMES.
After the ice bit breaks through the surface, water may overflow
through the hole. To minimize water splash, slow the speed
before the drill breaks through the ice surface, then raise the
tool slowly.
n Do not expose the auger powerhead or battery to water.
n Always keep the blade guard on the auger except when in use.
Use caution when removing or installing the blade guard. The
cutting blades are very sharp.
n Never use a hose, water, or any liquids to clean or rinse off the
auger powerhead. Corrosive liquids, water, and chemicals can
enter the auger powerhead and/or battery pack and damage
the electronic components, which can result in a short circuit,
increased risk of fire, and serious personal injury.
