Thank you for purchasing the Sonik AXS 2 Man Bivvy; we hope that you have many happy fishing trips
using it. Please take a few moments to read through this manual, it contains advice on the use and
care of your new bivvy.
Assembly
We recommend assembling your bivvy for the first time prior to your fishing trip to ensure you
are familiar with all the components and setup process. Please note this is a large bivvy with long
pole sections and heavy canopy. Care is required when assembling this product. As soon as you
become familiar with the process; setup will become much quicker and easier.
1.
Unfold and connect together the 7 angled pole joints.
2.
Holding the centre block in front of you, fan out the five rear poles. Make sure the tension straps are
not tangled within the canopy. Temporarily peg down the ends of (P1) and (P5) poles, this will help
keep the bivvy in position during assembly.
3.
Connect the two halves of the front arch pole together C1.
4.
Thread the ridge pole through its sleeve and slide the female end over the male spigot on the front
of the rear pole hub.
5.
Clip the other end of the ridge pole onto the centre of the front arch pole. Extend the ridge pole to
tension the canopy. Only a medium tension is required.
6.
Pull each end of arch pole forward to tension the sides of the canopy and raise the front arch pole.
7.
Thread the peak pole into its sleeve, then split the peak pole at its centre joint. Insert the peak pole
ends into the arch pole holders. Re-connect at the centre pushing the two halves downwards.
8.
Insert and extend the short peak tension bar. Lower the front arch pole if this part of the canopy is
out of reach.
9.
Ensure the two internal tension straps are in place and untangled. Peg down and reposition the
pole ends as necessary.
10.
Attach the two side tension bars.
11.
Zip in the door of panel of choice (Green, Clear PVC, Mesh) before pegging down the front panel for
correct spacing of doorway.
12.
Fit the groundsheet by clipping into place at the back and sides of the bivvy and peg out the front
elastic points with the front pegging points of the bivvy. Correct groundsheet position is on top of
the bivvy skirt material.
