TROUBLESHOOTING

GAS ENGINE TROUBLE SHOOTING
PROBLEM
Engine will turn
over, but doesn't
start
(recoil can be
pulled normally)
Unable to pull
Recoil
(recoil feels
seized)
Engine runs then
stops

CAUSE
No Fuel.
Fuel is stale or
contaminated.
Low Oil.
Engine is switched off.
Low RPM setting.
Choke not engaged.
Fuel Valve is off.
Air filter too dirty.
Fuel tank is overfilled and
cannot breathe.
Oil in Carberator.
Unloader set too tight.
Gasoline in engine
crankcase
Trapped pressure in the
pump.
Oil In Air Filter.
Oil In spark plug cyclinder. Remove and clean spark plug.
Unloader set too tight.
No Fuel.
Low Oil.
Unloader set too tight.
Fuel Cap, or breather
tube not breathing (where
applicable).
SOLUTION
Fill with fresh regular unleaded
fuel
Remove old fuel, replace with
fresh fuel. May need to clean fuel
system.
Fill with 10W30 motor Oil.
Turn switch to the ON position.
Turn throttle to full RPM (Rabbit).
Turn choke on.
Turn fuel valve on.
Clean or replace.
Drain some fuel to allow it to
breathe.
Remove the bolt from bottom of
carburetor and flush with fuel.
Back off unloader.
Carburetor is plugged. Need to
clean carburetor and engine.
Squeeze Trigger of the gun to
release pressure.
Remove and replace air filter.
Clean excess oil.
Clear out oil from cycliner.
Back off unloader.
Fill with regulatar unleaded fuel.
Fill with 10W30 motor Oil.
Back off unloader.
Loosen fuel cap and if the
machine runs, then clean or
replace fuel cap/valve.
