Grounding Instructions
• The appliance must be grounded. In the event of malfunction or breakage, ground-
ing will reduce the risk of an electrical shock by providing a path of least resistance
from the electrical current. The appliance is equipped with a grounding plug.
• The plug must fit into a properly installed and grounded outlet in accordance with
local codes and ordinances.
- Improper connection of the equipment-grounding conductor can result in a risk of
electric shock.
- Check with a qualified electrician or serviceman if you are in doubt as to whether
the appliance is properly grounded.
- Do not modify the plug provided with the appliance if it does not fit into the outlet.
- A qualified electrician should install the proper outlet.
- Do not abuse, sit or stand on the door or dishwasher rack.
- Do not operate the appliance unless all panels are in place. Open the door carefully
if the dishwasher is running, there is a risk of water leakage.
- Do not place heavy objects or stand on the door when it is open. The appliance
may tilt forward.
- When loading items to be washed:
1. Position sharp items so that they do not damage the door seal;
2. Warning: Knives and other sharp-tipped items should be loaded into the
basket with the edges down and in a horizontal position.
- Some dishwasher detergents are very alkaline. They can be extremely dangerous
to swallow. Avoid contact with skin and eyes and keep children away from the dish-
washer when the door is open.
- Check that the powdered detergent is empty after completing the wash cycle.
