GETTING STARTED
POWER SWITCH
Slide the POWER SWITCH (2) to ON to turn
on the keyboard. The red power indicator
will light up. If no keys are pressed within 3
minutes, the keyboard will enter power saving
mode and any sound output will stop (unless
the DEMO ALL feature is selected). The red
power indicator light will remain on and
pressing any key will return the keyboard to
normal mode. Slide the power switch to OFF
to turn off the keyboard.
MASTER VOLUME
Control the master volume by pressing
the MASTER VOL +/- buttons (3). Press +/-
simultaneously to reset the default level.
TIMBRE SELECTION
Choose from 20 different timbres, divided into
two sets of 10: TIMBRE A and TIMBRE B. Press
the SELECT button (20) until either TIMBRE A
or TIMBRE B options are selected. Choose the
desired timbre by pressing the 10 numbered
buttons (21) next to the SELECT menu. When
using the percussion select function, press the
SELECT button again to return to/enable to
the timbre select function.
PERCUSSION SOUNDS
The MK-1000 features 10 keyboard percussion
sounds accessed by pressing the SELECT
button (20) until the PERCUSSION option is
selected. The 10 numbered buttons (21) next
to the SELECT menu will produce percussion
sounds as indicated by the percussion
symbols allowing you to create your own
rhythms. Press SELECT again to return to
TIMBRE A selection.
DEMO SONGS
The MK-1000 has 8 demo songs, accessed
by pressing either the DEMO ONE (to play a
single demo song on loop) or DEMO ALL (to
play each of the 8 demo songs in sequence.)
The tempo can be adjusted using the TEMPO
+/- buttons.
