1. Use a small screwdriver to loosen screw.
Remove battery cover.
2. Insert 2 AAA alkaline batteries (included).
Position batteries correctly with the positive
"+" side facing as shown on the battery
cover.
3. Place the battery cover on the unit and secure
the screw.
One (1) Year Limited Warranty
Dorel Juvenile Group, Inc. warrants to the original purchaser that this product (Ear Otoscope), is free from material and workmanship
defects when used under normal conditions for a period of one (1) year from the date of purchase. Should the product contain defects
in material or workmanship Dorel Juvenile Group, Inc., will repair or replace the product, at our option, free of charge. Purchaser will be
responsible for all costs associated with packaging and shipping the product to Dorel Juvenile Group Consumer Relations Department
at the address noted on the front of this document and all other freight or insurance costs associated with the return. Dorel Juvenile
Group will bear the cost of shipping the repaired or replaced product to the purchaser. Product should be returned in its original package
accompanied by a proof of purchase, either a sales receipt or other proof that the product is within the warranty period. This warranty is
void if the owner repairs or modifies the product or the product has been damaged as a result of misuse.
This warranty excludes any liability other than that expressly stated previously, including but not limited to, any incidental or
inconsequential damages.
SOME STATES DO NOT ALLOW THE EXCLUSION OR LIMITATION OF INCIDENTAL OR CONSEQUENTIAL DAMAGES, SO THE ABOVE
LIMITATION OR EXCLUSION MAY NOT APPLY TO YOU.

How to Use Your Ear Otoscope
Please read this section carefully and all the way through
before using this product.
1. Position ear canal for viewing (Figures A and B).

• 0 - 12 months: Gently pull the ear straight back.
• 1 year and older: Gently pull the ear up and back
to straighten the ear canal.

2. Gently insert probe tip into ear canal.

If pain occurs, remove probe tip immediately and
consult physician.

3. Press the light button
through the viewing lens.
Review "Reference Images" in the
package (or scan this QR code) to
see examples of what a healthy
and infected ear looks like.
4. Contact your physician if:
• S igns of ear infection are detected. Not all
ear infections will be immediately visible. You
may want to check again later or contact your
physician if symptoms persist.
• Y our child has ear tubes that are no longer visible
on the eardrum.

NOTES: We recommend taking a "baseline" viewing of your child's ear
when all is well. You will see what his or her eardrum looks like normally
and where the ear tubes are located.
This device should not be used as a substitute for a medical diagnosis.
Only a medical professional can make a diagnosis of a medical condition.

WARNING:
• K eep these instructions as they contain important
information.
• NEVER push the probe tip too far into the ear.
• Always wash and dry tip thoroughly before and after
each use.
• NEVER use in baby's mouth or nose
• This product is not a toy. Do not allow children to
play with it. When not in use, keep out of reach of
children.
• This product contains small parts. Keep away from
children at all times.
BATTERY CAUTION:
• W e recommend alkaline batteries for longer battery life
• DO NOT mix old and new batteries.
• DO NOT mix alkaline, standard (carbon zinc) or
rechargeable (nickel-cadmium) batteries.
• Non-rechargeable batteries are not to be recharged.
• Rechargeable batteries are to be removed from the
unit before being charged.
• Rechargeable batteries are only to be charged under
adult supervision.
• Only batteries of the same or equivalent type as
recommended are to be used.
• Batteries are to be inserted with the correct polarity.
• Exhausted batteries are to be removed from the unit.
• The supply terminals are not to be short-circuited.
• Check that all contact surfaces are clean and bright
before installing batteries.
• Used batteries should be disposed of properly.
• Remove batteries when stored for long periods of
non-use.
Care and Maintenance
Cleaning Lens:
• B reathe onto lens surface, then wipe gently with lens tissue, soft
cotton T-shirt type fabric or micro-fiber cloth.
• I f that doesn't work, apply a small amount of lens-cleaning
solution to the lens-cleaning tissue or soft cloth and gently wipe
lens.
• U se of facial tissue, paper towels or polyester-based fabric may
scratch lens and is not recommended.
Cleaning Probe Tip:
• R emove tip from unit to clean.
• W ash in warm soapy water and rinse well.
• A ir dry thoroughly before storing.
Cleaning Base Unit:
• DO NOT submerge base unit with electronics in water.
• DO NOT place in microwave.
• Wipe with damp cloth.
