• The ramp should be used to overcome an obstacle up to 5 times shorter than the length of
the ramp (e.g. to overcome an obstacle of 30 cm requires a ramp of at least 150 cm in length),
when used by electric wheelchairs or wheelchairs guided by an assistant.
If the disabled person has to drive up and/or down one of the ramps in this manual by himself,
the obstacle-to-length ratio should not be less than 1:7 (e.g. a 30 cm high obstacle requires a
ramp at least 210 cm long).
• Folding ramps should be opened away from the body.
• Care should be taken to avoid trapping fingers in the parting hinges (folding models CR503-X
| CR505-X) and the open/close buttons (telescopic model CR500-X).
WARNING!
- On gravel, uneven ground or in wet conditions there is a risk that the rubber bases
will not friction. Always adapt the conduct to the conditions of use.
- Additional loads in excess of the stated capacity may compromise the correct operation.
11. HOW TO USE
Note:
make reference to "GENERAL WARNINGS" chapter.
1. Ensure proper tightening of the ramp locking pins when opened.
2. Always make sure that the non-slip bases at the ends of the ramp are properly positioned
and fully adhered to the support surface.
12. MAINTENANCE
The ARDEA devices by Moretti are checked carefully and supplied with EC mark, once launched
on the market. For patient and physician's safety we recommend to let check the device by
the manufacturer or by laboratory authorized every 2 years. In case of repair use only original
spare parts. Before using follow the
Moretti ARDEA ramps require few elementary and periodic maintenance, below we list the
checks to be carried out periodically:
• MONTHLY:

13. CLEANING AND DISINFECTION
13.1 Frame and metallic parts
Clean with warm water and mild soap. Dry with a soft cloth in order to not scratch the painting.

drying the rubber bases and abrasive strips, it's dangerous use the ramp with those parts wet.
13.2 Disinfection
if you need to disinfect the device use a common disinfectant cleaner.
WARNING!
Do not use solvent and abrasive product.
14. CONDITIONS OF DISPOSAL
In case of disposal don't use the inserting container for municipal waste. We recommend to
dispose the ramp in the appropriate disposal areas for recycle.
