3.1
Pre-Cleaning
After taking it apart (see section 6 "Disassembly", page 37), the angled screwdriver must be
pre-cleaned manually. Special attention should be paid to all inner surfaces during this
process, using a brush e.g. REF (item no. 73-304-07-04, available from KLS Martin) for
internal cleaning of the shank (2). If necessary, repeat this pre-cleaning cycle several times,
rinsing or flushing the cleaned parts under running tap water both in-between and as a final
measure after completion of the whole cleaning process to wash off all dirt particles and
cleaning solution residues.
3.2
Machine Cleaning and Disinfection
The disassembled angled screwdriver is suitable for machine cleaning and thermal disinfection.
The various components can be processed with any program that has been released for
surgical instruments. Be sure to observe the cleaning instructions provided by the
manufacturer of your washer-disinfector and the manufacturer(s) of the treatment agents
used. The process used (incl. loading) must guarantee adequate removal of residues.
For storage during machine processing, we recommend using the optionally available wide-
mesh tray REF (item no. 50-950-10-04) and the small parts tray REF (item no. 50-950-20-04).
