The self-levelling cross-line laser should only be serviced
by the brand's technical assistance center, or other
qualified personnel, replacing any necessary parts with
original ones.
When choosing and using batteries, you should pay
attention to the following aspects:
▪ Use alkaline batteries (2 x 1.5V LR06 (AA));
▪ Use batteries from the same manufacturer, type and
capacity;
▪ Replace all the batteries at the same time. Do not mix
old/discharged batteries with new/charged batteries;
▪ When the laser level is not in use or is being long-term
stored, it is highly recommended to remove the
batteries. Batteries can corrode or discharge in case of
long-term storage;
▪ Discharged or end-of-life batteries should be disposed
of in accordance with local laws and regulations.
Follow the procedure below to insert/replace batteries:
1. Slide the "ON/OFF" switch (2) to the "OFF" position;
2. Press the battery compartment cover latch (7) and open
the battery compartment cover (6);
3. Remove the discharged batteries and insert new or
rechargeable batteries. Ensure that the batteries are
inserted according to the polarity (+/-) shown on the side
of the battery compartment cover;
4. Snap the battery cover into place and make sure the
latch is securely locked.
The laser can be used on VITO's tripod, clamp and magnetic
wall bracket.
Tripod:
The tripod is a stable measuring platform with adjustable
height and direction.
1. Tighten the laser's thread onto the tripod fixing bolt;
2. Adjust the tripod before turning on the laser.
Clamp:
The clamp allows you to fix the laser on various types of
horizontal surfaces.
1. Open the clamp jaws to secure it on a horizontal surface;
2. Adjust the clamp before turning on the laser.
Magnetic wall bracket:
The magnetic wall bracket allows you to fix the laser on
metal surfaces. It can also be attached to the tripod
through the fixing thread.
1. Rest the bracket against a metal surface that does not
allow the bracket to move during use;
2. Adjust the wall bracket before turning on the laser.
The laser is intended to project and control horizontal and
vertical lines in enclosed spaces. It is ideal for marking out
and aligning on walls, ceilings or floors.
To ensure that you work with the laser safely, you should
take into account a few precautions and procedures before
start-up:
▪ Before each use, check that all bolts are properly
tightened. Regular inspection is important to ensure
safety issues and the performance of the self-levelling
cross-line laser;
▪ Avoid knocks and falls. Damage to the laser can impair
its accuracy and calibration. If the laser is knocked or
dropped, you should check the laser's line against a
reference line, either vertical or horizontal;
▪ If the "ON/OFF" switch is damaged it must be repaired or
replaced;
▪ Switch off the laser before transporting it. The self-
levelling unit is disabled as soon as the "ON/OFF" switch
is set to the "OFF" position, otherwise it could be
damaged by strong movements.
